Is Apex Entertainment in Marlborough the “Disney World of New England?” That is the hope of its managers, who say the sprawling 80,000-square foot gaming facility is the largest indoor entertainment space in the region.

Located in the upscale Apex Center in Marlborough, Apex Entertainment had a “soft open” in December and has since fully opened, offering seven different attractions: Go-Carts, arcade games, a ropes course, bumper-cars, bowling, laser tag, and sports simulations. In addition, the center leases space to several other entertainment themed businesses.

Tim Curran, the assistant food and beverages manager at Apex Entertainment, likened the facility to a Disney World of New England, citing its expansive space and range of activities.

“One of the questions we get here is saying, ‘what type of demographic do you get here?’ And when I say everybody, I mean everybody,” Curran said.

“You get from little toddlers to the elderly, and everybody in between. It’s just, there’s nothing like it. That is the demographic, literally everybody.”

The complex certainly caters to all ages: with rooms for birthday parties and soundproof conference rooms built with company outings in mind, the space is ready to accomadate an array of plans.

According to Curran, the complex took less than a year to develop, and also includes a full-service restaurant and three different bar areas.
